Excuse my ignorance but why is it called Black Friday ; Maybe it's the opposite of Good Friday or something to do with White Christmas?

The Final Fallacy: If Witnesses Ruled the World

after all the disproofs and debunking of the watchtower society are done and its status as the "truth" is destroyed, we are left with one final.

argument supposedly in their favor: if the whole world was nothing but jehovah's witnesses, it would be a peaceful paradise.

this is the last argument that held me in the "truth" as an elder - inspite of all the lies and corruption i encountered in "jehovah's.

Good point,in other words who police the police? In the land of fantasia they claim that they will have certain controls. It does not make sense why will God need a government anyway? and we all know what happens under a dictatorship . It is also a ridiculous argument to say that God's Government will rule because if the new world needs ruling there must be a shortage of harmony.

Another barmy doctrine is the the one where the devil gets locked up for a thousand years I mean come on if he is real he should have been locked up years ago.

As usual it's a load of spherical objects.

Need Help: How do I get Santa and the Reindeer mounted to the roof???

good morning everyone..... happy wednesday!!

i have searched high and low on the internet to try and find out how you get stuff mounted on your roof without it blowing or falling off.

for instance, i bought a small santa with sleigh and the reindeer.

Hi Lady Lib,

What you need what you really realy need is a wall bracket with a large extended arm which is strong enough to hold old Rudolph and the sleigh. You then drill a couple of holes preferably into the gable end of your property at a height which is comfortable enough for you to reach from a ladder. You then fasten the sleigh on to the overhang part of the bracket so that Rudolph's feet just touch the roof. Then fasten the bracket to the gable which presumably has holes in it which line up with the drilled holes in the gable.You might need to buy an ariel pole and fasten a piece of aluminum to that which extends over the roof area.

If the above is a no no try lashing the decoration to the chimney.I don't know if you have life insurance but get some before going up a ladder and doing any roof work.Make a will as well and it would be a good idea to get someone to hold the ladder.

Safest bet is to place Rudolph on the front door step and throw brown balls of putty, which look like reindeer droppings,on to the roof .That will save you from having an accident up there.

I once saw a guy slide all the way off a pitched roof which was frosty , luckily when he landed he only suffered a dislocation.

Don't attempt any of this after an egg nog.

Are You A Witness In Good Standing?

hey everybody :)

so i am curious about the jw's on here that are still in good standing.

even after i was df'd i still had the brainwash in my head telling me not to go onto an internet site discussing jw issues.

Hi,

I was a Witness in good understanding so I left .

To enter the Jah Jirah care homes run by some Witlesses you have to be in good standing so it is assumed that if you spend your life being a good and faithfull servant I mean slave and then toward the end of your life you go off the rails or to put it another way you see the Whacktower for what it really is you are definately standing on your own.

In good standing means going to meetings every week, you must have a thing about door knockers you must not be rocking the boat by asking awkward questions and you must sever all links with any normal persons.There's more; if you are a man that is, you must shave and have at least one decent suit and tie.There's more; you must be able to read and and give an answer to a question that is already written down which repeated enough times means you are hypnotised and can't break the trance without difficulty.There's more ,oh forget it!

That's my understanding of being in good standing.

What is so desperately sad is the fact that if she had have lived just a few more years she possibly would have come to realize that the Witnesses talk a load of spherical objects.

Somebody asked on the radio " who makes these rules and regulations in the first place and why pick some and not others?"

The Governing Body has not got the moral authority or the educated qualified authority to tell someone to lay down their life.Who the hell do they think they are? They have elevated themselves into a position where they can say what they damn well like .It would be just as easy for them to pronounce that when all things considered the saving of life is paramount and they could just as easily gather scripture together to support that .

They have created in the minds of the general public nothing but a hundred years of disrespect for their values.

Stupid Idiots at the meeting

i was at the sunday meeting today (i know, i know...) and i heard this one guy give a comment about how hollywood movies always portray rich people as happy and successful, so that's proof that satan controls the film industry because it's a lie.. .

i struggled to think of one recent hollywood film that portrayed anyone as being happy, let alone rich and happy.

if they made a movie like this guy was describing, it wouldn't sell.
